The Short Version
Decoder, a rapidly growing digital marketing agency seeks a web developer to help with site builds and more. Projects are often WordPress-based, but Reddit gold if you have familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.
- 3 – 5+ years experience with WordPress development
- Deep familiarity with SASS, PHP, Javascript, and Git
- Unflappable patience with bugs, clients, and marketers (ick!)
The Long Version
We’re looking for a creative problem solver who can think strategically and turn detailed mock-ups and functional specs into powerful digital experiences. Our focus is on delivering exceptional work that makes a meaningful impact on our clients’ businesses.
This is either a contract or contract-to-hire gig (depending on your preferences) that will have variable hours to begin.
What we’re looking for:
- ~3 – 5 years of experience with web development
- Fluency in HTML, CSS, SASS, PHP and Git
- Javascript and jQuery experience
- Proficient in WordPress
- Proactive, problem-solving nature
- Ability to work autonomously

What to expect
You are welcome to work remotely or out of our beautiful office in inner SE Portland. It’s a huge open loft space with tons of light and super friendly folks. No cubicles here!
Hours are flexible, but we will rely on you to be communicative about your availability, project / task estimates and realistic deadlines for your work.
Compensation depends on your experience, but it’s an open conversation.
